iphone fuzzygrainy images on 3g o2 uk

got an iphone and are using O2 in the UK? irritated by the fact that images look overly compressed and grainy? easy fix:

• settings -> general -> network -> cellular data network
• change: vertigo
• to: bypass

as the username and full images will be restored. you may have to switch to flight mode and back (or power cycle if you are so inclined)
